Spectle
Spectle
A precision platformer with an emphasis on speedrunning.
Spectle is very much a WIP... This is an early build and there are many features that are unfinished or completely missing. All the levels are unlocked by default for testing purposes. The dialog and story are omitted from this build... Expect much of the art to change as well. That said, it is very playable and hopefully fun!
Although a gamepad is recommended keyboard support has been added.
Keyboard Controls:
- JUMP - W
- LEFT - A
- RIGHT - D
- DASH - SHIFT
- INTERACT - E
- PAUSE - ESC
These actions can be bound to the key of your preference in the settings menu found when the game is paused. I will add in game instructions for controls soon.
Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Pretty fun ngl. Here are some things I noticed:
Thanks so much for playing and for the feedback!
I will definitely change the menu navigation asap that just makes sense also def going to add ability to remap controller.
Based on your feedback I'll speed things up as well. Text, death animation etc.
I've been brainstorming ways to improve the camera. On a gamepad you can use the right stick to peek around a little bit, but there is no equivalent on keyboard/mouse atm. There is also nothing to help players discover this which isn't great.
I'm pretty concerned about the issues you experienced with fullscreen. It was a bad decision to use ESC as the pause button for keyboard as that causes some obvious issues (unintentionally exiting fullscreen for example) but I've never had it crash or lag entering/exiting fullscreen before. It's only been tested on one machine and only in the most recent version of google chrome. I will have to do some digging to get to the bottom of this. Do you mind sharing what browser and OS you are using?
I use Firefox and Windows 11. My GPU is a GTX 980 and my CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5600x
Hey, this is pretty fun!
